Introduction
Capadien acts as the HEAD STORE for work by the Cut and Paste Generation a.k.a. The C.P.G. An art movement conceived by British born artist, virtual curator and turntablist D J D J. The C.P.G are a group of artists that have grown with the computer as their emotive expresser of choice. By allowing an artist to combine a set of multiple skills, the computer has offered access to much more than a standard paintbrush or lump of clay. A single artist can use more than a single medium to express. The computer is essentially just a convenient and powerful way to represent the inner imaginations of a human brain. And the more we are allowed to access this directly, the greater depth of feeling the artist will be able to convey. The CPG are the first of a kind. We are the first humans to be given the entire wealth of human creation at the click of a mouse. With this comes a universal ability to, for example, cut whole symphonies of Mozart and paste them into sections of Bob Marley in a matter of seconds or to mix the black and white visuals of yesterday with marvellous 3D art of today. To recognize this potential and explore areas within it remains the ultimate aim of the C.P.G.
